Abstract:
Aiming at the constantly changing network bandwidth and the excessive transmission request command caused by the large amount of PET/CT image data, this paper proposes a PET/CT image transmission (T-PCI) strategy based on bandwidth-aware dynamic compression (BADC) algorithm. This strategy performed image serialization and packaging based on sequence information, while monitoring the real-time bandwidth of the current network, using BADC algorithms and compression-while-transmission mechanisms to achieve massive image transmission. The simulation results show that compared with the three conventional transmission modes, T-PCI strategy uses real-time bandwidth and compression-while-transmission as the baseline, and its total transmission time can be reduced by 19%-58%, which effectively improves the transmission efficiency.
