CONGESTION CONTROL SCHEME BASED ON COOPERATIVE POLICY IN NAMED DATA NETWORKING
-
Abstract
In order to solve the over control problem of hybrid congestion control in named data networking (NDN), a cooperative congestion control scheme CHCC (cooperative hybrid convergence control) is proposed, which not only supports the receiver and router to jointly alleviate congestion, but also prevents the transmission performance degradation caused by their over control. CHCC detected congestion through active queue management technology and generated tag information, triggering the downstream receiver to adjust the interest sending window and router transfer traffic to control congestion. This scheme was implemented in ndnSIM, compared with the ICP (interest control protocol) scheme. The results show that CHCC can obtain higher throughput, lower and more stable transmission delay and no packet loss under various topologies. In addition, the fairness evaluation was carried out through Jain's fairness index. The results show that CHCC is very effective in ensuring the fairness of resource allocation among users.
