A SLIDES GENERATION METHOD COMBINING TOPIC SEGMENTATION AND AUTOMATIC SUMMARIZATION

  • It is a common practice to disseminate academic results through presentations, however, presentation slides are often made by hand and it is a tedious task. Taking academic papers as the source, this paper proposes a presentation slides generation method combining topic segmentation and automatic summarization. The main text was segmented by topic based on chapter structure, the hierarchical structure of presentation was constructed, and the important text in the paper was automatically abstracted, as the result, the presentation slides were generated based on the topic. Experimental results show that this method not only reflects the writing logic of the paper, but also improves the ROUGE-1, ROUGE-2 and ROUGE-L index.
